Police claimed that the phone besides some other items, including a diary recovered from the almirah will be sent for forensic test. “We hope to find some clues through the phone as the well-to-do couple uselessly carried expensive mobile phones, said the police.
Namra was found murdered at her apartment in Keshavpuram in Kalyanpur while her husband Shahwan, an IIT-Roorkee graduate and a coaching owner, was found in an unconscious state in a Skoda car some 45 km away in Billhaur. He had succumbed after being admitted to Ursula Horseman hospital on Tuesday.
The search was conducted following an application given by Namra’s father Shahenshah to Kalyanpur police.
“We have recovered an ordinary mobile phone from an almirah of Namra in the presence of her father Shahenshah and other family members. The police during search have also recovered love letters, which were written by Namra to her husband Shahwan, besides a duplicate copy of her Inter marksheet, several greeting cards and a diary written by Sahwan. We will hand over the items to forensic team for investigation. Also, the second diary which we have recovered from the almirah, will be given to hand writing experts,” police said.
CO Kalyanpur Ajay Kumar said the special investigating team is still probing the matter. Though no note written by Sahwan has been recovered yet, the police on the basis of a message scribbled in a diary suspect that he first killed his wife and then committed suicide by consuming poison on Tuesday.
